And this thing doesn't stop with juice, my friends. I'm talking fresh salsa, homemade pasta and your own peanut butter. The possibilities are pretty much endless.

  2. It seems lately I can't make lasagna- it always comes out watery.

  3. Roast beef. Seriously, the easiest recipe ever and it came out hard as a rock. Is there some kind of green thumb for cooks that I'm missing?

  4. This orange yogurt pancake recipe was floating around my pinterest feed for FOREVER so I finally tried it. I burnt every single one until the last, and then burnt that too when I was distracted by instagram. Worst.

p.s. awesome giveaway! I'd kill to make homemade pasta!!

  5. I'm 6 months pregnant and had been wanting pecan pie for a while, so I decided to make one a few weeks ago. I got everything ready, put the pie in the oven, and couldn't wait to have a piece when it came out. Until, while waiting for it to cool, I was re-reading the recipe and realized that I forgot to put the sugar in it. I thought it might still taste ok....no, it was horrible and I had to throw away the whole thing! So sad :(

  8. I tried to make buffalo chicken lasagna in the crock pot. I mean, crock pot, recipes are so easy right?! You just pop the food in and forget about it...not. The noodles got way overcooked and were like mushy puree in your mouth and the sides and bottom of the lasagna came out black and burned. Not good folks, not good!

  14. My almost-two-year-old daughter does not eat fruits and vegetable very much, so I sneak them in. A lot of times, it's easy and she loves it (like using V8 vegetable juice in pancakes instead of milk). And yesterday...well, the pumpkin/avocado pancakes were a flop :)

  15. My worst is actually very appropriate for this entry: I don't have a juicer, though desperately want one, because $$$$! So, I tried to take the Mean Green juice recipe and turn it into a smoothie recipe. It was awful. The chewiest and most gag-tastic smoothie ever. I even tried to strain it because I didn't want to waste all that stuff, but it was still narsty.

  16. The first time I cooked for my Husbands parents, when we were newlyweds, I burned my chicken and dumplings so bad we had to scrape off just the top...they lied and told me it was good :) They have since said my cooking is much improved!

  17. I'm an excellent cook and have never messed up a single recipe. April Fool's!!! The worst would be the Christmas tree shaped pasta I cooked to mush and topped with a nasty cream sauce (read black pepper sauce....ugh!

  19. Once when I was making coconut cream pie, I doubled the recipe without putting it in a bigger pan. So... there was bubbling, boiling goo everywhere! And it burned my hand. The end.

  20. A few nights ago I attempted Fettuccine Alfredo. I over cooked the pasta, and burnt the chicken... Epic FAIL! It was pretty terrible and ended up in the trash.

  30. I tried to make my own chocolate cake out of leftover bittersweet chocolate that I attempted to sweeten with raw honey. I added an egg, baked it and hoped for the best. I didn't like it but thankfully my kids did!

  31. The first time i made supper for my family (I was 13) i made tacos! I misread the recipe and added 1/2 cup of salt instead of 1/2 tsp! Ya, I was clearly 13 and didn't realize how much salt 1/2 cup was! Luckily my mother gave me many more chances to practice in her kitchen & my skills have some what improved ;)

  32. Double layer red velvet cake. I totally botched the cream cheese frosting (added all of the powdered sugar at once, so it didn't get smooth! fail.) and it cracked like crazy in the middle. we decided to call it a butt cake.

It still tasted decent, but it looked TERRIBLE. and the frosting was a bit...uhh...chunky and soupy all at once hahaha

  33. I was cooking for my in-laws years ago, trying to make a special zucchini/cheesey/bread crumb-layered dish, and the directions were wrong so the zucchini ended up being crunchy and not cooked enough! Everyone said it was good but I knew that it wasn't cooked enough and I was embarrassed! lol.

  34. I've botched tons of recipes, but my latest was a Pinterest recipe for S'more bars. They were not pretty and tasted lame!

  35. I made a pie for a get together with friends. It called for salt. I misread the amount and put in probably 5 times more salt than needed. It was gross...and funny!

  36. I have a lot of failed lasagna episodes. When we were first married, we were having company and I attempted lasagna in a round hot dish pan. It ended up soupy, I was so embarrassed!!! Since then I have not been able to overcome my inability to make a perfect lasagna... so much so that my hubby prefers Stoughers... Blucky!

  37. I was making homemade jam at my inlaws house and wasnt too familiar with their pantry. To make a long story short I used salt instead of sugar. Oops!

  38. When I was first married, I attempted my mother-in-law's lasagna and it totally bombed. To this day, almost 5 years later, my sweet hubby still insists it was delicious... ;)
