embrace it

today i'm embracing the camera with emily, for the first time eva. you should embrace it, too.

someone asked me if i do my hair and makeup every day as a stay at home mom. i laughed really hard and then i answered that question with a big N to the O. i do love fashion and getting dressed like a normal person but, i love wearing a t-shirt and shorts, throwing my hair on top of my head and not putting my contacts in even more.

Photobucket

a) singing a song to cheer up a miserable baby. his typical disgusted face in response.
b) i like to make this face sometimes.
c) i don't know what finger foster is flashing at you but i know which one it looks like…mmmmkay.

i get the i'm going to get dressed every day and motivate myself to do more. but let's be real, if i'm not going anywhere that is not happening. if you swing by my house unexpectedly i am running to put a bra on before you get to the door. do not think about that mental image please.

i said please.

that being said…
i do not go out in public like this…usually. i mean with no makeup and hair on top of my head, not braless. what do you take me for? but, the times i do, i always see someone i know. funny how that works.

embrace your camera today. or take gnarly photobooth pictures like me. you will be happy you did... i think.

  1. i can completely relate! i haven't had a shower in like three days. :) and i am totally with you on the braless thing, too. it's pretty sad. (and i am a nursing mom too, so lots of days there are leakage spots on my shirt. good times! we'll laugh about this stage in our lives one day. (i hope!) haha... lora

  3. What is that about seeing people you know when you look your worst?1 It's inevitable. I think it's God testing our vanity.

  5. ha cute! I rocked a big old shirt of my hubby's and a torn (but not on purpose if you know what I mean) jean skirt all day. Hair and makeup? yeah, not so much. and I even ventured out of the house today. Of course I wore a cute coat, but...

  18. hah! the other day, I told my husband to touch my boobs. not in a sexual way but in a "im-wearing-a-real-bra-as-opposed-to-a-nursing-friendly-tank" way. sorry if thats TMI but i thought of that when i read your post. so honest i love it!

  19. want to know my theory about dressing up everyday? if i do i really wont get anything around the house done, who wants to do house work when they spent hours getting dressed. NOT ME! as for BRA'S WHO NEEDS EM!!!

  23. the mama look is hot. I rock slippers everyday and sometimes end up dropping off my kid at school with them on. I'm an embarrasment waiting to happen, but kiddos are so forgiving, right?! ;)

  28. Nice momma pictures. Love!
I always go out mom style - hair unbrushed, no makeup, no shower. I try to remember deodorant & clean clothes & real shoes. Those are normal fashion/grooming goals I have for myself.

  29. Oh gosh, I SO don't embrace the camera. I feel like I should more, though, because whenever I'm looking at pictures of family things, there's a bunch of my girls with my husband but few with me. They're going to think I never did any of the fun things with them! LOL!
