this week brody and i got our things ready to send off to our friend kevin conklin, and the other troops he is serving with over in iraq. at two and half, brody, of course does not really understand where kevin is and what he is doing. but, he does understand that his buddy, brock's daddy, is at work for a very long time. we went to target and i let brody pick out some of the treats we would send. brody wanted to eat them all himself so i would keep reminding him what we were doing with these gifts.

it's important for me to make him aware, at an early age, the importance of giving to others, and praying for others. we pray for kevin, erin, brock and lincoln and thank the lord for their friendship. we pray for kevin's safety and comfort for conklin family.
i pray that i can be the friend i need to be for erin this year.

i love erin's heart.
i love that she is seeking out how the Lord can use her and kevin this year to reach others.
i admire that about you, sweet friend.
