spinach artichoke dip

this is the most delicious spinach artichoke dip. ever.

  • 1 cup thawed, chopped frozen spinach
  • 11/2 cups thawed, chopped frozen artichoke hearts
  • 6 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

boil spinach and artichokes in 1 cup of water until tender and drain. discard liquid. heat cream cheese in microwave for 1 minute or until hot and soft. stir in rest of ingredients and serve hot.

(i omit salt and can never find frozen artichoke hearts so i use canned. and, i double the recipe, of course.)

  1. Was this the one from the party tonight? It was soo good!

  2. it is, i love it! i haven't made it in a while, i forgot how good it was :)

  3. you can buy frozen artichoke hearts at price chopped in cp. they are 2 or 3 bucks ( i think its alot) but then again, the canned arent much cheaper. they are in the long freezer cases in between 2 frozen food isles. i used to get them everyweek. they are right next to the spinach.

  4. brooke, thanks! i knew i had bought them frozen years ago and hannaford doesn't carry them. they are SO expensive canned--$9. i found marinated canned ones for $4, but $2-$3 still beats that! :)

  6. That looks delicious! I'll be making it if I can find some artichokes in our little town. :)

  7. Game day is all about the dips for me. I could care less about the “real food”. I just want ALL the appetizers. This looks soooo good!
