we always seem to have a lot of these in the freezer
brody and i had a fun time making a delicious banana bread this morning. he helped by stirring water around in a dish and licking the spoon when we were all done.
the bread is so good. i think buttermilk is definitely the secret ingredient when it comes to banana bread. we both enjoyed a little as an after lunch snack. the recipe calls for 1 hour 20 minutes in the oven, but it took almost 2 hours in mine. worth it. it is really rich and almost dessert-like. that could partially be because we substituted the nuts for chocolate chips.. brody didn't mind :)
