catch up

i feel like i haven't really written anything on here in quite some time, even though it's only been a couple of's been a busy couple of days! foster had his 2 month appointment - he is a happy, healthy baby and a big boy! in the 95th percentile for height and weight (15lbs!) he is sleeping so well, i truly feel blessed. brody had his ent check up and his ears are looking good - so we are very happy about that. i am praying he continues to do well with no ear infections or discharge once both tubes fall out.

caleb, foster and i went to bennington vermont for the day on saturday - we had a great morning together. beautiful, sunny and freezing. we didn't do as much as we would have liked because it was so cold and we had foster with us but it was still wonderful to have some quality time to just talk and catch up with my hubby. he has been working so much lately that i am cherishing our time together even more. we had a great morning at church and hung out all day with my family today. my mom and i started to brainstorm some ideas for brody's 2nd birthday party. it will be something simple and small but it's still fun to plan. i have some great ideas for things we can create for the party. and when i say 'we'...i mean that i show caleb what it is i need to be done and he creates it :) also, we are so excited that caleb's parents will be here for 5 days in april - for brody's birthday as well!

my goal for this week is to get foster to take a bottle so that caleb and i can have an alone date for valentine's day. he's taken the bottle 2 or 3 times but still doesn't quite get the hang of it. i wanted to just focus on nursing at first so that he (and i) could master it and now i am ready for him to take a bottle on occasion, or at least on valentine's day. and my mom is looking forward to babysitting her two boys together!
